So I was looking at family blogs today and I saw "The Diaries of Amalou". Hhmm. I think that's my blog. Yes, I do believe it is!

So since I went to the hassle of setting a new password, I thought I might as well post something!!! I first intended this blog as a creative writing/diary of thoughts thing, obviously I haven't had success (maybe just lack of thoughts). But hey, it's a new year right! I can just add this to the already long lists of things to do. Who knows, maybe, just maybe I'll even post more than once this year!

Freedom of Speech

Just a thought I had today while listening to the news. Why is it that we have Freedom of Speech if it's not acceptable to use it with any subject? Why is it okay to use when it's something liberal or racy, but on on anything "old fashion" or conservative??? I believe that all walks of life can have an opinion on what right or wrong, cute of ugly, tasty or nasty, etc, etc, etc. And that all walks of life can express it, and should express it. But shouldn't there have been something added with Freedom of Speech that says something like... "Let people speak it, and don't make it into some big issue if you don't agree", or "Just because you think one way, it doesn't automatically make it right", what about, "persecution is not acceptable when someone is just expressing an opinion".

I know there are many people in the world who are trying to make the world a better place, but why can't it be okay to think differently and just respect the beliefs of others. I may like the color green and want to shout it to the roof tops, but is it right for someone to tell me "NO it's not green, it shouldn't be green, green is all wrong!? I can't stand big old pieces of raw fish, but who am I to tell someone that they shouldn't eat it and that I'm going to picket their sushi eating??

Bottom line... Let's just get along! Right or wrong, fat or thin, sushi or no sushi!!

Here marks the first blog writings of Amalou.

Everyone is blogging. Blog this, blog that. So, now that I have my very own Internet access I have decided to join the blogging race! Not sure why, but nevertheless I have joined. I hope this will be a wonderful new pastime where I can vent, express deep thought, and just type to my hearts content. May it be witty and humorous. May it be pleasurable to the eyes of others. May it not show how completely lame I am! I here by decree myself a Blogger!
